The 3 most important steps to consider when putting your server out on the internet are: 1. Raq 550 Updates (DOWNLOAD SCRIPT) - make sure you have the latest security updates on your server. 2. Firewall Script - close off unnecessary open ports to hackers. 3. Backup Script - always keep a backup of your server. Notes: If you don't apply the latest updates to your Raq (or any server for that matter), you will almost certainly get hacked via a wide variety of exploits. If you are not using a firewall (hardware or software) your system will be open to a much larger variety of exploits. If you don't backup your system you will almost certainly find yourself out of luck with lots of lost data after someone hacks your machine or when it crashes.
